Cost $150 for one person $200 for two
($10 goes the The Glossy Project)
Maximum Participants: 2
Join me for an early start as we discover some of the birds and wildlife in the hidden corners of Panboola. As we walk and find birds, we learn interesting tidbits about the fascinating history and ecology of this special place. Read more about Panboola.
On completion of our adventure, we'll enjoy tea or coffee, cold drinks and a light brunch 'picnic style' at Panboola.
This tour is weather permitting. If the tour is cancelled due to bad weather, I will attempt to reschedule or otherwise a full refund will be given, minus bank charges if paying upfront online. Select the 'pay on attendance' option to avoid fees. I have a mobile card facility.
I generally offer this program in the morning only, as the wind often picks up in the afternoons making it harder to track birds. If I think the conditions are suitable for an afternoon tour I will give you the option - or you can specifically request an afternoon booking.
Things to know
A basic level of fitness and mobility is required, as we will be walking about 2.5 to 3km in total including some sections on uneven ground. There are no hills to climb and we will be walking at a leisurely pace.
A limited mobility option is also available - feel free to contact me for more information, letting me know about any concerns or limitations, and I can adjust the itinerary to suit.
There are no toilet facilities at Panboola, please see my map below for the nearest public toilets. It's a good idea to stop off before the tour commences, and of course I can accommodate any emergencies with a detour!
Comfortable walking shoes, preferably waterproof - or gumboots - are recommended. We are on a floodplain and some areas can be quite muddy depending on the preceding weather conditions.
We can avoid wet or muddy areas if you don't have appropriate footwear but we may miss out on waterbirds!
For the starting point and meeting place, please see my map below.
