Landscape Photography Coaching
Panboola Wetlands

Duration - Approximately 3 hours
Cost $220 for one person, $350 for 2 people, $450 for 3 people
($10 goes the The Glossy Project)
Maximum participants 3

We head out to Panboola on sunrise or in the late afternoon to capture the best light as we photograph the landscape. As we walk we learn interesting tidbits about the fascinating history and ecology of this special place.  Read more about Panboola.

I share my landscape photography process, from selecting a composition to camera settings and post production. We go over particular techniques such as how to create bokeh and long exposure, plus what different settings can bring to the table.  We'll also address any specific questions or problems you may have

On completion of our adventure, we'll enjoy hot and cold drinks and a light brunch. We'll also review your images and have a general chat while we relax.  You are welcome to contact me post-tour with any further questions after you have downloaded your images.

You may wish to bring a tripod if you like to use one (not essential, I generally don't use a tripod). Bring the lens you would like to use or usually use.

I use a 12-100mm, f/4.0  and a wide angle 7-14mm f/2.8 for landscapes but we can work with what you have!  Not sure?  Shoot me a email, or message me on social media (links at footer of page).

Coaching sessions are weather permitting.  If I cancel due to bad weather, I will attempt to reschedule to a mutually agreeable time, otherwise a full refund will be given.

Things to know

A basic level of fitness and mobility is required, as we will be walking about 2.5 to 3km in total including some sections on uneven ground. There are no hills to climb and we will be walking at a leisurely pace.

A limited mobility option is also available - feel free to contact me for more information, letting me know about any concerns or limitations, and I can adjust the itinerary to suit.

I tailor the program to your photography level: beginners to experienced are welcome.  I have a brief questionnaire before commencement to better understand your requirements.

There are no toilet facilities at Panboola, please see my map below for the nearest public toilets.  It's a good idea to stop off before we begin, and of course I can accommodate any emergencies with a detour!

Comfortable walking shoes, waterproof - or gumboots if you have them.  Not essential but we are on a floodplain and some areas can be quite muddy depending on the preceding weather conditions.

We can avoid wet or muddy areas if you don't have appropriate footwear but we may miss out on a great vantage point with nice reflections!

Tours are weather permitting.  If I cancel due to bad weather, I will attempt to reschedule to a mutually agreeable time, otherwise a full refund will be given.

Panboola Meeting Place & Start Point

Starting Time TBA: I will contact you with a good time to start, which will be before sunrise for morning session or 2 - 2.5 hours before sunset for afternoon sessions.

Need a different time?  Send me an email or message me on social media  (links at bottom of the page).

We meet in the carpark at Panboola's second entrance where the Panboola office is located. (Not at the main entrance, which gets busy and has limited parking).  Access is from the Princes Highway just behind the Idlewilde Motel at the bottom of Pambula's main street.  Look for the Panboola sign.

There is ample parking available including disabled access parks.  Note the nearest toilet facilities located about 2 blocks away.
