A private, specialist birding tour for serious birders and photographers who want the best chance of encounters with some of the more elusive species found at Panboola, such as the delightful and shy Southern Emu-wren.
Maximum 2 persons.
We will track a variety of birds to view or photograph and I'll show you some of the hidden corners of this diverse and beautiful eco-system.
4 hour Tracker Route (Rugged):
Uneven ground, off-track sections, longer duration, higher flexibility
$330 1 person | $475 for 2 people.
3.5 hour Easy Access Route:
Groomed paths, shorter distance, stable footing, shorter distance, comfort-first slower pace
$295 1 person | $450 for 2 people.

TOUR INCLUSIONS
I'll be using my proven tracking methods and local knowledge to help maximise our chances of finding Southern Emu-wrens and other shy species. Please note - wild bird sightings cannot be guaranteed.
Either way, you’ll come away with a rich wetlands experience and plenty of photo opportunities.

How to Book a Bird Tour

I will contact you via email or phone to confirm the booking or to discuss an alternative time/date if I'm unavailable.
The day before the scheduled tour I will request payment via email to confirm the booking - this way we can check weather and either reschedule or cancel without the hassle of refunds and bank charges if conditions are not looking favourable.
Tours are subject to availability
I recommend we start early in the morning for the best results - the wind tends to pick up in the afternoons and I always sight a greater number of birds in the mornings.
Afterwards we'll enjoy a 'freshly ground' plunger coffee or cup of tea (and a little treat!) as we chat and review after our session.
